Will Local Anesthesia to Remove a Mole On My Chest Puncture my Breast Implant?
I have mole on the inner breast cleavage area and need to have it removed. Is there any chance they will puncture or pop my breast implant by using a small needle to numb to area? I am very worried and don't want to take any chances of them doing this , but also afraid of having skin cancer?
A: Lesion excision and implant puncture
Injection of local anesthesia to numb the breast area for removal of a skin lesion will not be in the area of the implant cavity and will not result in implant rupture. If it very important, however that you tell the dermatologist or other surgeon who is injecting the anesthesia about the presence of the implant. If the lesion isn't superficial and is being biopsied to rule out breast cancer, care can be taken and if you are really concerned, you can have your plastic surgeon perform the biopsy.
Cost of Removing a Mole Under the Eyebrow?
I have a mole (not sure what kind) below my eyebrows. It's really huge. I have insurance but not sure if it covers mole removal. How much would I have to pay to get it removed? I live in Rome,Georgia.
A: Cost of upper eyelid lesion removal
Most health insurance covers removal of lesions. The cost for a plastic surgical excision and closure is between $750 and $1000. Any lesion should also be sent for pathologic analysis after its removal. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in the office.
Mole Removal Procedure That Leaves Unnoticeable or No Scar?
I am considering to remove a raised mole on my upper breast area. I am very concerned with the scarring. Is there a procedure that will remove this which will leave little or no scar? Or are there good scar creams that work wonders on scars?
A: Mole removal scarring
Whenever the skin is cut full thickness, there will be a scar. A plastic surgical excision and closure seeks to create the best possible scar. If the lesion is of concern, then this should be your paramount consideration rather than the resultant scar.
