Will Hyaluronidase Dissolve Radiesse.

A: Radiesse cannot be dissolved by hyaluronidase

Unfortunately, hyaluronidase only dissolves hyaluronic acid based fillers such as Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm.  There is currently no agent that helps to dissolve or reverse the effects of Radiesse - only time.  Since Radiesse is not reversible and typically lasts longer than hyaluronic acid fillers, it is important to have the injections performed by an experienced, skilled physician.

Will Botox Get Rid of Neck Bands?

Hello, I have had "necklace bands" or those horizontal lines that go all the way around my neck since childhood. Now they have deepened and look worse than ever.

I have a nice slim neck, but the lines are very unattractive. I have heard both yay and nay with regards to botox for necklace lines. What's the verdict? Also, are there other treatments that would work better such as laser or peels? Please help, I am desperate to get rid of these bands!

A: Botox plus filler for neck lines

Botox is often used for the vertical lines (platysmal bands) in the neck, but are not very helpful for the horizontal lines.  The horizontal lines can be treated with a very small amount of filler (Restylane, Juvederm) injected directly under the lines (emphasis on small amount so the filler doesn't make matters worse).  The effect can often be enhanced by injecting Botox to relax the underlying muscles.

How Do I Remove Juvederm Injected Into Cheeks?

Previously in CA, 1/3 of a vial of Rystalane to fill shallow acne scars in cheeks every 9 mths. Now, in LA I have seen two doctors, one Derm, one PS, 4 V's of Juvaderm, both missed the scars, which everyone can see. The result is they injected three 1/2 vials into my cheeks which were already full. I look like a chipmonk WITH acne scars remaining. I wanted NO volume. Also placed too much in my top lip now protruding over the bottom lip. UGLY! Help !

A: Removing Juvederm

As expressed by others, Juvederm is not a permanent filler, therefore it will slowly disappear on its own after 6-12 months.  If you are very dissatisfied with the outcome, the physician can inject hyaluronidase to quickly dissolve the filler.
