Is there any chance a mother of 3 can have a mini tummy tuck? What is the criteria? I do weight training since I was a teenager and although I think my muscles are a little stretched I can only place a finger between them . I am 5.4 and my weight is 115 pounds.
An exam is necessary to say for sure. In general, a mini tummy tuck is best suited for someone with skin redundancy and muscle separation limited below the belly button.
I had my sugery almost a year ago. The surgeon said he went above my belly button to tighten the muscles and also below the bb. He commented twice that I had alot of muscle in my abdomen. My abdomen used to be somewhat flat with just a tiny bit of loose skin right above my c section. That is why I opted for the mini tt. Now my abdomen protrudes out when you look at it from the side. I thought that a mini was tightening below the bb and removal of some extra skin. Why does it look worse now?
In a "mini" tummy tuck, there is often a tightening of the abdominal wall just on the lower half of the abdomen. If you are very thin, you may see a protrusion (dogear) at teh top of that line of tightening stitches. This may be addressed by either upper abdomen liposuction or conversion to a full tummy tuck.
