Chicao has a surgeon who can do blepharoplasty without cutting on women of color (Dr. Julius Few). He goes in thru the lower eye lid. Is there an east coast plastic surgeon who does the procedure this way?
The lower eyelids can have the fat removed with no scars on the outside. If you have upper eyelid skin excess, you need external scars. I have done many women and men of color and never gotten a bad scar on the eyelids.
some doctors say it is not wise to remove the fat pads unfer the eyes as it will give a person a hollow look.rather pull the excess skin and go with cheek implants. others support it and say it is better to remove it. how does a patient know which way to go?
Talk to a board certified plastic surgeon with experience doing eyelid surgery. There are all sorts of new fads out there, and often they go away. If you have a lot of fat, then removing it is usually the proper way to go.
I'm having a lot of trouble locating pictures of the scars that come from a lower blepharoplasty surgery - both post-op and long-term. Where can I find these? What is the location of the scars, and how noticeable are they?
You can't find the scars because they can be on the inside of the lid or right below the lashes. In either case, they are virtually invisible.
