Does Isolaz Acne Treatment Work for Men?

Considering Isolaz acne treatment for my face but wondering if it works OK on men...

A: Isolaz Improves Acne in Men and Women

Isolaz is a device which utilizes a unique PPX™ vacuum technology and light to unclog the oil glands and destroy acne-causing bacteria in the skin. Isolaz™ treatment combines a gentle vacuum with therapeutic broadband light to improve acne lesions and help with pores.  The vacuum gently lifts the acne impurities closer to the skin's surface, which helps loosen and extract blackheads, dirt, debris, dead cells and excess oil from deep within your pores. The broadband light destroys the acne causing bacteria, sloughing the dead skin cells and oils away. Additionally, it reduces pore size appearance, and improves skin tone and texture. Anyone with acne, male or female, is potentially a candidate for Isolaz treatments. Results are usually seen even after the first or second treatment, although a series is usually necessary for optimal improvement.  The link below shows before and after photos of patients treated with Isolaz.

How Much Does an Isolaz Treatment Cost?

What is the cost of this laser treatment?

A: Cost of Isolaz Laser Treatment

Different offices and physicians will charge differently for the same treatment.  From what I know, most offices charge between $200 and $400 per treatment.  We charge per treatment and we also have package prices which include one free treatment. I have been very pleased with the results for my acne patients and find that the patients feel it is money well spent.  I recommend you consult with a board-certified dermatologist and that you have the treatments done in a physician's office under the care of a physician. Can Retin-A Clear Dark Marks and Even out Discoloration?

Can Retin-A Clear Dark Marks and Even out Discoloration?

A: RetinA Can Help Skin Discoloration or Uneven Tone

Topical retinoids like RetinA can improve discoloration and uneven tone of the skin.  They can also improve acne, pores, texture, sun damage and fine lines.  They can be even more helpful in conjunction with other treatments such as chemical peeling or in combination with other creams such as hydroquinone (bleaching cream).  RetinA can be irritating and drying so it is important to use it as directed by your physician for your skin type.  It is also important to observe strict sun avoidance while on RetinA, which will also help to improve the discoloration.
