Does Brachioplasty Help with Skin Overhang/Wrinkling of Elbows?

When my arm is fully extended my upper arm sags into my elbow, making it look very old and wrinkly. I'm 38, but I feel like when my arm hangs down it looks I don't know at least 50s to 60s. My oldest sister is about 8.5 years older than me and even she doesn't look like this, she's much fuller than I am, I'm very thin so maybe why is so much worse on me. I'm one those people that just doesn't gain weight or hold fat well. I really am embarrassed to try dress up like this in sleeveless top.

A: You need to be seen and evaluated.

Without seeing you or your photos , it is impossible to adequately answer your questions. We remove excess skin and replace it with a scar. Talk to a qualified plastic surgeon.

Is Liposuction Required for an Arm Lift?

i hate my underarm flapping skin. Was considering arm lift surgery.  However, it's not clear to me if I'd also need to get liposuction to get results. What is the best way to know ahead of a consultation if it will be necessary?

A: Brachioplasty with or without liposuction

If you have flapping skin under your arms then a brachioplasty is the only effective way to remove that skin. Depending on how much excess fat you have in the arm,  liposuction may be added either before or during the surgery to deflate them allowing removal of more skin and better contouring.

Stretchmarks Under Arms

Iam 19 yrs old & I went through a growth spurt a couple of yrs ago. I have stretchmarks under my arms, or the "bat wing" area & on lower my sides. Iam thinking of getting surgical excision, to remove them, would that be any help?

A: NO

Stretch marks are intradermal scars - excising them leaves scars -- so you trade a scar for a scar --- cant say you get anything better with surgery - unless you have a lot of excess skin.
