Some doctors can do liposculture with tummy tuck at the same time but other say it's risky. I'm confuse, is safe to have lipo in the mid area at the same time of the tummy tuck?
You will experience a superior result if liposuction is performed at the same time as your Abdominoplasty. The key to this operation is how your surgeon elevates the abdominal skin. I have been using this approach for years with excellent results and minimal risk to the skin circulation.
I am interested in facial liposuction to sculpt my lower cheeks. There is very little information available on this procedure, but I understand that in the shorter term, it may actually tighten the skin as the scar tissue contracts during the healing process. I am wondering what the long-term side effects are on skin laxity or the possible ramifications on aging facial tissue. I am 32, Asian/Irish, with pale and delicate skin that is prone to broken /dilated capillaries. Is this procedure generally recommended for someone with thin, delicate skin? What are the possible short-term and long-term side effects of this procedure?
For thin skin, the risks of skin loosening over time can be a bigger long tern concern (not risk) than the short term change in volume. If the area under your eyes is hollow, then rather than removing fat, you may benefit from lifting your cheeks, repositioning your fat to a more normal position.
To be sure you get the best possible results, see a board certified plastic surgeon. ASAPS members are plastic surgeons who have special interests in aesthetic surgery. Best to bring a full list of written questions with you to your consultation.
