I will be taking one hydrocodone/apap 7.5/500mg tablet and one diazepam 10 mg 1/2 hour prior to the surgery and given a local numbing injection. Do you know from your experience if this a comfortable option compared to general sedation? Plus have you performed this surgery without the protective eye lens cover?
Local anesthesia is a safe and higher effective means for performing upper eyelid surgery. From your statement you will be receiving oral sedation prior to receiving the local. This will greatly reduce the perception of injection discomfort. I see no reason not to precede with this approach. A general anesthetic will require an anesthiologist and will definitely increase your costs.
I have white bumps under my eyes and after a long research I have found out that it could either Milia or Syringoma. The problem is I have no idea what it is.
I have a photo that shows the situation. I would appreciate if someone would help me with this. And is there any safe way to get rid of it?
I Had Juvederm in Feb 2011. everything went fine as before except the nurse shot it to close to the eye, within five days I had a large bag under my left eye smaller under right I never had them before went back and she said not filler, but it looks just like everyone elses asking questions, I have an appointment for consult for upper and lower lid surgery, would that get it out and put my eye back, my upper lids appear swollen too help. just want to know if I have the eye lid surgery would that take care of it?
Hi Debbie,
This is a fairly easy problem to correct. Juvederm is made up of hyaluronic acid. There is an enzyme that can be injected to dissolve the Juvederm. It is called hyauronidase. This is a simple injection which should resolve the swelling in 24 to 48 hours. I recommend you have the procedure performed by your plastic surgeon.
