I'm a 36C. My plan is to have a breast augmentatin with silicone implants to increase my bust size to a 36D. I want a breast lift but don't want the vertical scars. Would a cresent or donut lift give me enough (1 to 2 cm) lift with the implants? In my most recent consultation, the surgeon said my sag is 2.5 centimeters. Thanks for your advice!
Thanks for the photos, they are very helpful. It appears that your nipple is at or just below the breast crease. I would not recommend a lift. I think you would do well with a subfascial or dual plane augmentation. Even though you have a wide frame, I would consider a high profile implant to give you a more lifted appearance.
What options would be best for me?
It appears that your nipples are above the breast fold. However you have some breast tissue covering the fold. I feel you do not need a lift. You can get a very nice result from either a dual plane augmentation with saline or gel implant or a subfascial augmentation with gel implants.
I am 32 and in good health and am very fit. If I have a tummy tuck and breast lift, in general how long will it take not just until I'm recovered enough to return to work and normal activities, but to actually look *good*? As in, good enough to wear a bikini and not have it be obvious that I just had major surgery done?
(swelling down, scars fading, etc) I realize this is relative and may depend on a lot of factors, I am just trying to get a sense of what is normal.
The postop appearnce and recovery varies from patient to patient. Generally the thinner the patient the less postop swelling of the abdomen and, therefore, the quicker you will "look good". Most patients can return to non- strenuous work about 2 weeks following a tummy tuck and breast lift. You should be able to start working out about 4-6 weeks after surgery, but you may have to hold off doing stomach crunches for 2- 3 months following surgery. You should look pretty good after a few weeks but interms of getting into a bikini you may have to hold off 4-6 weeks. But most patients are thrilled following a tummy tuck and breast lift and have real enhanced self-esteem.
