I have regular facials at a beauty salon (every 2-3 weeks). Should I stop having facials once I start taking Isotretinoin? Thank you for your help!
Yes, 100% you should stop getting facials during your course of treatment, and for a few months afterwards just to be sure.
Also no facial waxing, comedone extraction, or plucking. Nothing traumatic to the skin. There is increased risk for scarring.
What does a facial cost? Does it depend on the type and, if so, how much do the different types of facials cost?
Of course this varies, not only by the type of facial and type of place you get it done, but also by geographic location. You must do local research. I recommend getting any facial done by only a licensed aesthetician, preferably who works directly inside a dermatologist's medical office, so that you can be sure what is being done to you and recommended to you is most likely to be on sound medical footing, and not some invented information.
