Unfortunately it is difficult to see what you are describing in the picture. Regardless, I recommend you follow up with the physician who injected the silicone to discuss options to improve your results. In our practice, we do a tremendous amount of silicone work and have never had a situation where a patient was over-corrected or "wanted it out". However, we have been referred patients who were improperly injected and/or over-injected by other physicians and have been asked to help resolve the issue. There are treatment options for reversing the augmentation achieved by the silicone. Hope this helps!
I am considering having a filler injected to correct my nasal tip. I have had three rhinoplasties. The first was purely cosmetic, the last two were to correct defects after a break. After the first, my nasal tip lost it's definition on the right side. The doctor who did my later surgeries was unable to correct this. The lack of symmetry, though unnoticeable to others, bothers me a great deal and seems very apparent in photos. I was recently reading about correcting nasal defects with micro-droplet silicone injections; would that also work for my issue?
In my practice, I exclusively use liquid injectable silicone (LIS) for the correction of nasal defects (non-surgical rhinoplasty) as it is precise, gives natural-appearing results and is permanent. I haven't had any complications in any of my patients other than the expected bruising and swelling. In the hands of an expert injector with experience in the microdroplet injection technique used with LIS, you can achieve great results in correcting nasal defects. I have corrected many different types of nasal defects, many of which, like yourself, had several prior surgical rhinoplasties. Feel free to check out our photo gallery by clicking on the link below.
I need to find a doctor in NY, NJ, PA, MA or CT who does sillicone microdroplet facial injections for nose-to-mouth and puppet lines.
Liquid injectable silicone is an excellent and perfectly safe filler for facial lines or volume depletion when injected with the proper technique by a well-trained, board-certified dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon. It is important that you find a physician who has a lot of experience using silicone and who is going to take the time to educate you on silicone and make you feel comfortable with the treatment. Feel free to browse through our website where we have a lot of information about silicone and a gallery of before and after photos.
