I am interested in either Pelleve, Pixel, or Chemical Peel for slight sagging and wrinkling. Which would give the most bang for the buck? Does Pelleve cause fat loss in face like Thermage?
I'm a Cosmetic Oculofacial (Speciaizing in Eyelid and Facelift Surgery) Plastic Surgeon practicing for 15 years with offices in Manhattan's Upper Eastside. In my practice, I use Pelleve for skin tighening of the face and neck, to reduce wrinkles and provide smoother skin, as well as increase collagen production over time. The technology with Pelleve appears not to affect the fat under the skin which is important to maintain a smooth contour. Pelleve is very effective and works for my patients who are not quite ready for a facelift. A chemical peel effectively reduces fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, scarring, acne and improve the overall texture and tone of your skin.
I have dark underarm and too shy to wear sleeveless. Can Pixel Laser make my underarm whiter? If yes, how many session does it usually take and cost?
Although pixel laser can help with some discoloration, chemical peels are the best option. Topical discolorating agents will be first choice. Lasers such as fraxel and pixel would be an option if above mentioned treatments does not respond.
What is the difference between fraxel and pixel and when should each be used? How effective is either in removing lines from upper lip and mistakes/bumps on lower jaw caused by injections?
Fraxel is a brand name of a laser made by Solta; Pixel is a brand name from a company called Alma. Both are fractional lasers and both can improve the lines of the upper lip.
In terms of the bumps of the injections: some can be improved, some cannot. It would be impossible to give advice without seeing this in person.
