I've tried many products but nothing seems to work with me, I searched on line and I found out about Photorejuvenation and IPL, but I have no ideia if it would finally work. I have had this Dark circles for almost 6 yrs, and it is getting worse.
I had my first microdermabrasion on low setting last week. I made an appointment for the second one in 2 weeks. I really liked it. I also bought myself an IPL photofacial which I can use at any time but I'v been told it's best to do it before the summer months. I would like to do it soon as possible. How long do I need to wait between microdermabrasian and ipl photo facial appointments?
Microdermabrasion with IPL is just fine to do together. They can actually compliment each other. The IPL addresses the photodamage and the microdermabrasion can actually help exfoliate it away. I would wait about 2 weeks in between each treatment. The skin cells take around 2 weeks to regenerate, so this would be the optimal time. Dr. Halem
I just had a photofacial 11 hours ago did not feel burning after the procedure but about 4 hours later I felt burning and now have line looking welts. Well this go away or should I consider this burn marks?
Intense Pulse light treatment, the device used to photofacials, is a device that delivers several wavelengths of light. There is heat generated at the skin level which allows the treatment of sundamaged skin. The heat can lead to some swelling making it look like hives or welts. This is normal as long as it doesn't lead to blistering or scabbing. You should apply a moisturizing cream to keep the area moist. This swelling should resolve over the next 24 hours.
