Board certification

American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery +Board certification in Facial Plastic Surgery indicates that a licensed physician has been certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) through a voluntary process. The ABFPRS requires physicians to meet a defined standard of knowledge, education and training and pass a series of examinations in order to be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery. The ABFPRS also requires physicians to have previously obtained board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in otolaryngology or plastic surgery in order be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery.

American Board of Otolaryngology +Board certification in Otolaryngology indicates that a licensed physician has been certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto) through a voluntary process. The ABOto requires physicians to meet a defined standard of training, education and knowledge and pass a series of examinations in order to be certified in Otolaryngology or a related subspecialty. The ABOto is a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
