I was worried about my nose so I emailed my doctor over the weekend on a Sunday. He responded right away. He asked me to forward pictures of my nose. I did and he told me it was not infected and to simply keep applying aquaphor. He saved me a trip to his office.

I gave this rating because Dr. Khoarasani is an exceptional doctor and Mohs surgeon. I chose him based on his fine credentials and the comments I read online from patients who had gone to him. Dr, Khorasani and his team helped ease my nervousness and made me feel confident that I was in good hands no matter how extensive the tumor proved to be. In my search to find a skilled Mohs surgeon, I found the best!

Mohs Surgery
After 2 previous bad experiences with skin cancer surgeries, this was remarkably easy and pleasant experience, made so by Dr Khorasani and his great team. I saw Dr Khorasani for a skin cancer which had been mis diagnosed by another doctor more than a year earlier. Having had two other surgical experiences with two other doctors which were less than ideal, I asked for an initial meeting to be sure I would trust myself to this Doctor. He gave me plenty of time, answered what he could answer and gave ranges of answers for what he couldn't know in advance. I felt prepared and ready. The funny thing is, though, I always looked forward to the appointments. The staff was always warm and friendly and reassuring and encouraging. It was like going out for a beer with some friends (without the alchohol). I hope you never need the kind of procedures I needed, but if you do, I hope you can get a chance to work with Dr Hooman Khorasani and his great team at Mt Sinai.

I did research on the internet and simply had a good feeling about this surgeon after reading about him. He looked so young I was wondering how he could have such outstanding credentials so early in his career. The minute I met him and observed how he examined me, I was totally assured and understood why he is where he is. How does one ever know if you’ve found the right doctor? Well I am one of the lucky ones; I did. I found Dr. Hooman Khorasani and I want to share my experience with others who may be in the same situation I was in a few weeks ago. Dr. Khorasani is the Chief of Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and I was able to get an appointment with him relatively quickly. My decision to choose Dr. Khorasani made a huge difference in my life. Not only is he an outstanding surgeon, he is a vibrant, gentle, reassuring, precise, responsive, and patient man. There are no words to describe how grateful I am to Dr. Khorasani for his magnificent work. As far as I’m concerned, he has performed a miracle.

During my Consult appointment, Dr. Khorasani explained the Total Fx procedure, every single step of the way (including preparation, what the actual procedure would feel like, and how to make the most of my Recovery). One of the most genuine and passionate doctors I have ever had the privilege of seeing. When you ask him a question, he LISTENS and responds thoughtfully. He takes his time in describing something to you SO precisely. I had a little hesitation pertaining to the pain of the laser, but during the actual procedure, Dr. Khorasani put my mind to ease. Turns out, the pain was not terrible. I am so impressed with the results of Total FX. My face has such a creamy complexion with a very smooth texture. Dr. Khorasani has made me feel more confident and TRULY happy with myself and the way I look.

I had a PAL procedure done at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan , NY under the auspices of Dr Hooman Khorasani , and it was with his Chief Resident Jason Emer. The procedure cost $2000 per area and I had 2 areas done. From the initial consultation to the hospital staff to the support staff to the actual procedure, inclusive of the after care and medical follow up I was treated like a VIP. The staff was in good spirits and assisted me throughout the procedure and the doctor that performed the procedure under Dr Hooman Khorasani’s tutelage seemed to have special techniques and medical apparatus to ensure good results. Though not a doctor I feel that the surgical skill is directly correlated with the final results. It is the time taken to perform the work which in my case, I was very happy with the results. The doctor / medical team was professional, courteous, and very informative. They communicated with me and addressed all relevant issues and concerns and questions that I had. The doctors were readily available and extremely professional instilling confidence in me that the procedure would work out fine. They let me know what would happen and what to expect for every step of the process. They provided me with proper expectations and an accurate assessment of the pain level, pain management, aftercare and expectations for results. I am very happy I had the surgery and recommend the doctors for others who may be nervous or have doubts about the procedure, pain, medical team or results.
