My first breast implant surgery was in NYC in 1995 (220cc’s).
In 1999 I saw another doctor in NYC and my incisions opened 5 times (delayed wound healing) so I ended with one under the muscle and one over – it was a mess.
In 2005 one ruptured so both were redone by another doctor in NYC. At this time both were under the muscle but very uneven and most of the scar tissue from 1999... more
This was my second time around with doctor Sudarsky, again a wonderful experience. Just FYI: Dr Laura Sudarsky volunteers in under developed African countries, she travels and performs free of charge plastic surgeries for children born with deformities. I found it very nice about her, it shows what kind of thoughtful person she is. In 2005 she performed a TUBA with saline 300cc and 275cc... more
It was done under local anesthesia which was easier to handle than being knocked out. I think the whole surgery took about an hour. Went home and was able to fall asleep. Woke up the next day and was able to move around the house and go to the store (nothing heavy) to do some very light shopping! I was not sick, but draining fluid which last about 3 days. In about 3 weeks I was able to... more
I went to Dr. Berlet for a breast revision procedure and was beyond disappointed with my entire experience! During my initial consultation, I explained to Dr. Berlet my concerns and expressed that I wanted to go for a larger size implant. He said that I am very tiny and that going for anything over 375cc would look silly on me. I should have seen the red flags right there but he was very good... more
I feel that at that there shouldn't be such a difference.I'm in my 2nd week post op..I just want to make sure that once then swelling goes down they will look better, and that the natural underline breast area will form better, that looks so swollen..help..I was hoping someone could advise me further on this. Or has anyone ever experienced this before? more
I had my breasts revised by Dr. Rapaport and I'm completely unhappy with the results. The breasts are two different sizes and one pocket is way lower than the other. My pectoral muscles on my left side are damaged and I am left in a deep depression since having them done. I do not trust his skills as a surgeon, so going back to have him fix them is not happening. I have to live with hideous... more
So I'm scheduled to have a breast revisions with periareolar lift with Dr. Elliot Heller February 28, 2013. Right now I have 390cc smooth round high profile implants that were done in August 2007 by Dr. Rosenfeld. I'm not happy with the results. They are lopsided and too big. I'm going to Dr. Heller for breast revision, I am getting smaller implants 300cc-325cc.. Hopefully the second time is a... more
After two operations to switch my implants (another surgeon), I found Dr. Rowe. I had severe encapsulation in the left breast, which not only hurt on a daily basis, but looked deformed. My right breast had a "double bubble." I felt ugly and lived in ongoing pain. A friend insisted I meet with Dr. Rowe as he is known to fix other surgeons' mistakes.
I now finally feel good and look... more
I had BA about five years ago but then I developed a capsular contracture on one side. After living uncomfortably with it for over a year and trying every alternative method to correct/ repair it, revision surgery seemed to be the only option left.
My previous BA was done on the west coast and I had since relocated to NY. While I have no major complaints about my previous surgeon it... more
I had seen this docctor in reguard to my Saline rippling implants that were above the muscle, after a consult he reccommebded to put them under the muscle, I had had a breast reduction 15 yrs prior and was made to small and at this point I have had implants for about 7 years. My experience with Dr Engler was very positive and I would like to share this with anyone considering a breast augmentation.
12 years ago I had my 1st BA with saline at 360cc., since then my body changed and the implants got harder. I began the search for a plastic surgeon 2 years ago, my goal was to educate myself about treating the capsular contracture and getting larger silicone... more
Hi, I've had my breasts done three times and I am about a 34dd or 34E, I have saline implants under the muscle and I want to go bigger but I'm thinking to try the cohesive gel implants. How do you feel about moving your implants from under the muscle to over the muscle? Do you still have sensation in your nipples? (sorry for the awkward question) and do you think it looks better over the... more
I had breast implants placed in France 10 years ago before moving to New York City. I was really never happy with them, but was scared to have another surgery. I found Dr. S here on RealSelf.com and made an appointment when I was in New York City. He discussed with me replacing the implants and performing a breast lift at the same time. I was scared about the lift, but OMG is turned out so... more
