ZOOM is great if you don't have a lot of time to fiddle with tray whitening. When getting ZOOM laser whitening the shades can get whiter over a 24 hour period, so matching the shades of your natural teeth and your veneers becomes harder. You can have custom made trays, and you can use products like Day White (1/2hr in tray) or Nite White to wear while sleeping. If your veneers are already a dark shade and you want to make your teeth whiter, ZOOM would be a great instant result, then have the veneers redone to match your new shade.
