I had my son a year ago and I hope to get back to my pre-pregnancy body if possible. I gained 36 lbs and lost most of it except for 2 lbs. The extra weight is stuck on my upper and lower abdomen, and flanks. I didn't get stretch marks but my skin seems a little looser than before. I wouldn't trade this tummy for a big scar from a tummy tuck unless it was my best option. Should I go for liposuction or would it leave me flabby? I was also considering Cryolipo and thermage which are non invasive.
You would need an examination to determine if there is a laxity of the stomach muscle wall which would need an abdominoplasty vs. just localized fat that can be reduced with liposuction . Zeltiq's CoolSculpting can reduce fat 20% withou surgery and the treatment can be done as a series of treatments.
I've had two children-the 1st one was a c-section w/ a short, very low scar & the 2nd was a VBAC. I have that typical hanging fat shelf you get from a c-section, and I don't have too much sagging- but my belly button is stretched out. I hated c-section surgery, and was wondering if Zeltiq with thermage afterwards, would produce decent results for me & not make my b button weirder. I know a mini-tuck would look better, but if I can avoid surgery and look 75% better, I would prefer no cutting.
It would not be realistic to expect or hope for 75 % reduction with a combination of Zeltiq CoolSculpting and Thermage. Theramge my improve contour but does not diminish fat volume significantly. You would need multiple treatments with Zeltiq CoolSculpting but even after a few, I doubt you would reach 75%. you might need liposuction and an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to get a great result. If you don't want surgery, eat a healthy diet and watch the carbs, and increase your exericse to burn more calories. otherwise, if you still don't want to undergo exercise, try several Zeltiq procedures.
Can I Get Thermage on my Stomach if I Am Planning on Getting Pregnant in the Next Year?
Thermage is a treatment that helps tighten collagen. During your pregnancy your skin will stretch and counteract all of the effects of the treatment. So if you are planning to become pregnant don't do Thermage on your abdomen now, wait until after you have had your children. You may treat other areas of your body, such as your face and neck, but wait to treat your midsection.
