I had a dermatologist do and 8% tca peel under my eyes for hyperpigmentation. She did 3 passes which caused a small round raised scar and also I see a lot of fine lines now which I did not have before. They look like a bunch of little line scars under the eyes. Its been 3 months and It is not improving. I just use lotion under there. Is there something that will help? I know its just not dry skin and I know its supposed to help collagen but I feel it did damage the collagen and elasticity? Help.
It is very difficult to answer your questions and/or give advice without seeing photographs, let alone evaluating you in person. We use TCA at much higher strengths to improve discoloration and fine lines of the lower eyelids and get excellent results. I recommend you follow up with the dermatologist who performed the peel so that he/she can evaluate the areas concerning you. Good luck!
She left it on for about 2 to 3 min it was a complete white frost she put on neutrazer and cold water and it stayed frosted for a couple hours. We put neosporin on it after. Today I washed it lightly but it is now a purpleish color and it is not oozing and did not blister. I tan in the summer and do have a light tan currently. Please let me know as she is in her mid 50's and has had many peels and is also concerned about the color. It does not hot today just feels warm.it is med peel TCA 30%
TCA 30% applied long enough to create a white frost is not a peel that should be done by a non-physician, let alone a friend. I am also wondering why the peel was done only to the right side of your face and in a way that left sharply demarcated borders. I highly recommend you consult with a board-certified dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon experienced in chemical peeling to assess your cheek and recommend treatment to avoid permanent discoloration and/or scarring.
Did TCA 25% peel at home. Almost immediately chin and the skin between my eyebrows frosted (about 1 min or less) but nowhere else. I let it sit for a few more seconds and between the burning and worrying about the frosted areas, I rinsed off with water. My entire face peeled to varying degrees but I did not get the results I desired. Next time how should I go about so I can get more areas to frost? How long can the 'frost' remain on skin while waiting for other areas to frost? Thanks!
If you want safe and optimal results from a TCA peel, I recommend you consult a board-certified dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon, well-trained in chemical peeling. I do not recommend self-peeling, especially with TCA as you risk developing permanent discoloration and scarring. It is also important to prep the skin with an appropriate skincare regimen for at least 6 weeks prior to the peel.
