my derm injected me 2cc sulptra as a touch up over a area which was treaded one year ago with sculptra and actually was perfect, he ignored my indications and injected where he shouldnt...above the cheek bone and temple, and since 2 weeks after injection until now almost 6 week later all the area under my eye is swollen puffy, with white-yellow colour, and my cheek looks weird when smiling it looks fat, and I feel inconfortable in that area as something is disturbing there causing tightness..
please see your doctor for evaluation of how to make you happy. there may just be an issue of swelling that will improve over more weeks, but if there is over correction, you may need to wait many months to a year or more for it to go away. Your doctor may be able to reassure you once seeing you in person.
At my consultation my dermatologist wanted to use sculptra to restore volume to my face. I wanted more immediate results, so I chose radiesse instead. While I see a difference in my face from the radiesse, I think I would like to try sculptra to see if I can get more volume than I have from the radiesse. Being that I just recieved the radiesse treatments a month ago, would it be too soon to start the sculptra treatments?
Yes, it is okay to have Sculptra one month after Radiesse. Both are good fillers, but each has different uses. Radiesse is great for defining the cheeks by laying the product against the cheek bones (kind of like an injectable implant). Sculptra is great for generalized volume enhancement. Radiesse has immediate results, while Sculptra takes some time to grow and usually requires several treatments. However, once you achieve your goal with Sculptra, the results should last over two years. I hope this is helpful.
Good Luck.
My face looked great after 7 vials - but worse after 8. How can I get back to the lesser but much nicer previous effect ? Thanks.
If you are unhappy with the volume the Sculptra gave you, then you should give it time and await for the body to reduce the volume on its own. There is no good way that a physician can treat the overvolume with a medication or therapy.
