Thoughts About Having Cosmetic Surgery (Face Lift) at a Residency Program?

Thoughts About Having Cosmetic Surgery (Face Lift) at a Residency Program?

A: Facelift in a residency program We all got our start as plastic surgeons performing procedures in the clinic. That said, the programs are no longer giving it away for free and you have to weigh the reduced costs against having an inexperienced surgeon, although under supervision. I see many patients who have gone this route and are then disturbed or surprised when the doctor who has operated on them is no longer accessible--because he or she has moved away to go into private practice.

I Would Like to Know the Risks and Possible Side Effects of Having Facetite.

I am considering having facetite. I would like to know if it is safe and what the risks and possible side effects are.

A: Facetite Procedure

The main risks are some bleeding, scarring, and a possibility of nerve injury but that when performed properly, can be a worthwhile procedure.

What Can I Do for a Facelift That was Made too Tight?

I had facelift procedure almost one year ago and the results are too tight in my connective tissue. I have tried massage, acupuncture, electro-stimulation, high-volt current, ultrasound, and reiki. Moist heat gives some relief and some mobility. I am living in constant torture due to constriction inside my skin, that grips my mind as well. Pain is slight, discomfort is extreme. Right ear still numb. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

A: Too-Tight Facelift

Well, the numbness is something that may never completely return, if the small nerve to the ear got transected.  As far as your tight skin, there is, to my knowledge, not much that can be done, other than to give things time.
