Since I was in the 9th grade I have had a belly. Im now 22 and I have tried everything to get rid if it.. I HATE THIS BELLY!! I'm turning 23 in August n I want to look fab,so I was thinking of smartlipo. I havnt worn a bikini since I was 12, n now that I'm grown I would like to feel sexy and confident n whatever I wear. But I am engaged n I do want kids. Can I do the smartlipo and still have a baby n a year or two?
I had smart lipo ultra done 6 weeks ago on my upper and lower abdomen. I was told that 1 liter of liquified fat was removed. I do not see any changes at this point. Help! does this procedure take longer for results in some people than others? Also, is 1 liter of liquified fat removal enough for the abdomen area? Also, have you ever seen where a person removed 1 liter of liquified fat and did not see any results after the 6 month mark? Help!!
As others have noted, residual swelling after liposuction is common. Even so (and I perform liposuction using the tumescent technique, which involves fluid infusion), my patients, like Dr. Blinski's, do see contour improvement shortly after surgery, although the swelling takes a while to abate. A liter, in fluid, is not all that much fat to be removed (what you call liquified fat also contains serous fluid and some blood so it isn't just fat!). Definitely see your plastic surgeon to share your concerns.
it is now 3 months after my smart lipo procedure and have not had a period, I took several pregnancy test and they are all negative..
Sorry to hear this. It is not uncommon for patients' menstrual cycles to be affected, either delayed or advanced, after surgery but usually this occurs when general or intravenous anesthesia is involved. If you had Smart Lipo under local in the office, it would be more unusual. I would recommend that you see your gynecologist to rule out any underlying medical conditions, apart from the lipo, that could be causing this issue.
