I went to a plastic surgeon to get a filler in my lips and smile lines. Due to miscommunication on my part he gave me a syringe on each side instead of half on each side and one for my lips. I was wondering since I got 2 syringes will it last longer? Normally, I only get one.
Having additional Perlane will not make it last longer but getting closer to full correction will cause you to be happier with your treatment for a longer period of time. If have partial correction as it wears off you will likely metabolize enough so that you don't see any change from you baseline. Conversely, if you have more injected as it metabolizes you will still have enough material to still show improvement over your baseline.
Will Half Syringe of Perlane Make a Noticeable Difference, iwas Told I Have Semi Full Lips
Perlane is not the filler of choice in this area for most physicians. Restylane or Juvederm are what most physicians prefer in this area. The difference being that Perlane or Juvederm Ultra plus are thicker and not generally an advantage in this area. Whether a filler will help depends upon what your lips look like, what you want to acheive and the physician performing the injection. My main suggestion is to go to a physician experienced in filler injections.
I Just Got Injected with Perlane Around my Nasolabial Folds As Well As Under my Eyes. But I got big a bruise and swelling under my left eye. Is the swelling permanent?
Bruising is a not uncommon reaction after fillers such as Perlane. It can occur and although mininimizing trauma can make it less likely for the most part it is out of the hands of the treating physician. Certain medications such as aspirin, Motrin, Naprosyn, several vitamins and nutritional supplements can make it more likely. The good news is that swelling and bruising will resolve spontaneously. I will sometimes apply a cold pack and mild pressure to the area immediately if it appears the patient is developing bruising and that can minimize it.
