Which Labiaplasty Method Will Preserve Sensation the Best?

I'm considering get labiaplasty to correct my overly large labia minora. I'm not so concerned with getting rid of the pigmented skin but I'm very concerned about preserving nerve endings both for sexual sensitivity and pain afterwards. Which method is best for this?

A: labiaplasty and sensation

Your concern about maintaining sensation is important.  In both the trim or wedge excision your sensation should not be altered if performed properly.  The overly large labia minora might even interfere with sensation and your sensation may be improved.

Also, do I need to stay in the hospital afterward?

A: Sedation and with local

Most people tolerate sedation with some local anesthesia for labiaplasty very well.  The is about an hour recovery before many people fell good enough to go home.

Labiaplasty Procedure Options

Are there different kinds of labiaplasty surgery?

A: Labiaplasty reduces labia minora

As previously stated, people are usually referring to a reduction of the labia minora when talking about labiaplasty. There are many different ways to design and perform the surgery. Most commonly, women come in and state that they have bulging in the mons area that is visible when wearing tight clothes such as running shorts and bathing suits.

Other patients are uncomfortable riding a bike. Some just don't like the way it looks. I have several gyn nurses who fit in this category. So each case is different. The surgery is fairly simple with a quick recovery. Most people can return to work after 3-5 days. Hope this helps.
