Can Hair Transplants Look Natural? What Areas Can Be Used as Donor Hair?
Fine Hairs are needed at the sides of my forehead to make it appear that my forehead is less wide than it actually is. I prefer not to use the back of my scalp as the donor site. Are there any other candidates for this? Like maybe leg hair or even armpit hair?
A: Hair transplant can be Natural I agree with you that having hairs implanted on the side of your scalp should make your forehead seem less wide. However , as to where to get the grafts from, that can only be done in a consultation. My associate, Dr Pistone is a world renowned hair transplant surgeon whose work creates a natural hairline- not like the 'old doll transplants'. You can see the pictures on The attached link under hair transplants . We have 8 offices in the area so we can tell you in person the best donor areas. The areas you mentioned- leg and armpit - do not have the same texture and do not provide for appropriate hair density. The consultation is free for viewers of real self . I Am Have a Light Olive Complexion And Want my Neck and Jowls Tightened. Which Laser is Better? Also want to reduce redness. Should I use the fraxel repair or the pearl lasers
A: Laser Skin TighteningIn our office we achieve good results on the face and neck with the Candela GentleYag. While patients see a mild improvement with one treatment, optimal results are achieved with a series of 4-6 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. There is minimal discomfort and no downtime. As previously mentioned, there are several lasers with similar or different technologies on the market that can tighten the neck and jowls. Some are good, some are just mediocre, and some are worthless. The key for you is to consult with a board-certified dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion of what treatment will work best for you. Should You Moisturize After a Chemical Peel or Not?
I heard that moisturizing may delay the peeling process Oh I have one more question too, how are chemical peels on the body different than they are on the face.
A: Hydration After Chemical Peel ImportantI recommend to all my chemical peeling patients that they observe strict sun avoidance and hydrate the skin with bland emollients after having the peel. Depending on the type and severity of the peel, I have specific post-peel skincare regimens. It is also very important not to pick at peeling skin and to avoid harsh protects such as glycolic acid or RetinA until the skin has healed. For people who are acne prone, they should still hydrate with moisturizers, but preferably with a lighter, non-comedogenic moisturizer that is not going to clog pores or exacerbate breakouts.
