I've been been getting Restylane in my lips for almost 2 years now w/touch-ups (1/2-1/4 a syringe) about every 3 months. I'm so consistent that I've never seen much decrease in volume. I'm going to be away from my wonderful doctor, however for about 4 months since my last treatment.
I realize I'll lose some volume, but how gradual is it? And since I get treatments so often, does the product build up? I wonder if I can span treatments further apart -- more like every 4-5 months? Thanks so much!
You may get more than six months duration before you see reduction of volume of your filler.
Hello, please advise on what happens to facial skin after restylane has resorbed. (or any other filler or fat injection for that matter.) I have read that sagging effects on the skin are unlikely and also that natural collagen production may be enhanced after filler or injected fat has resorbed, however I have yet to come across any negative effects. Assuming a successful injection, could any layer of the skin be left worse off once the filler has resorbed?
I have never been aware of any patient whose lines looked worse after filler dissolved than before treatment. Yes, there may be more collagen produced naturally, by the body, in the dermis as a response to the fillers. Furthermore, there is no damage to the host tissue by Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane.
I had restylane under my eyes and in my cheeks 7 months ago. The eyes had problems, but now look great. However, I've never liked how my face shape looks. It's fuller, with less distinct cheekbones. I look younger but less striking; fatter, and I'm thin. When can I expect this to dissipate? I'd take gauntness for my high cheekbones in a second. I've been patient, but I was hoping that at least some would have dissolved by now. I realize there's no magic number but, ballpark? Thanks so much.
Around one year is the point that most of the hyaluronic acids dissolve. You could have some hyaluronidase injected to dissolve some of the filler you have.
