I am a 24 year old male. 5'9" and 138 pounds. I'm really skinny, but my jawline is not defined at all and I have a small double chin as well. It's really bothering me. I'd like to have a defined and chiseled jawline I usually hold my head a little pushed forward to hide it but I'm assuming that's not so good for my neck either. I tried doing different kinds of neck- and jaw exercises but they didn't work. Can a chin liposuction be the solution?
Your chin is weak and there is a deposit of fat under your chin. Using Laser Lipo will tighten the skin as well as remove the extra fat deposit. Using a small chin implant will give your face the correct balance and your profile will be stronger.
I had sub-mental liposuction a year ago, and the doctor took out too much fat in the area at the base (where neck meets jaw) and there is a triangle area which is depressed and was hard to photograph, basically it looks like a hole as if someone's thumb is pressing up and people have commented on it, also now my glands are more visible. Could a fat transfer fix this? It's just the one area. Should the surgeon who did it try to fix it? Price estimate for area? I can't believe it happened!
If more fat was taken away in one area than others, the indentation after liposuction may be improved by a fat transfer / fat injection. There may be considerable bruising for more than a week or two because of further manipulation in an area that had undergone surgery previously.
I am 20 years old, i had an eating disorder a long time ago and lost weight then gained it back. Then lost 35-40 lbs, and i exercised regularly but was left with a little extra skin and soft fat pushing under the chin. It's not a large amount of skin or fat at all but its still very noticeable. I have had 3 laser tightening treatments (waste of money) and saw a slight difference but it is still noticeable. Would smart lipo tighten the skin?
Depending on the laxity of your skin because of your history, the laser-assisted liposuction, such as SmartLipo may help retract the skin better than conventional liposuction. Several plastic surgeons and dermatologic surgeons that do laser-assisted liposuction have told me they see improvement fromt he SmartLipo. There are risks with any procedure, and neck liposuction often leaves fine creases in the texture of the skin, which SmartLipo may or may not avoid. There also could be indentations or areas that need further removal after the surgery is done. Seek consultation with an experienced SmartLiposuction surgeon.
