I have always considered myself a "pretty girl" from the front, but I always hated my profile from the side, and it seems as I have gotten older, it has only gotten worse. I have long considered getting a chin implant and this year decided to bite the bullet, but I was nervous I would look like Jay Leno! Dr. Joseph was recommended to me by a pleased family member, so I decided to go in for a... more
I had chin implant surgery with Dr. Antell about 9 months ago to address a receded chin line. During the consultation, Dr. Antell addressed all of my questions thoroughly. The staff was also very helpful in making arrangements for day of surgery. I had the surgery under general anesthesia on a Wednesday afternoon. The following day, Dr. Antell saw me in his office, then I took a train out... more
My experience from start to finish was great! I'm very happy I finally got this procedure done. The outcome was exactly what i wanted....a defined jawline, a tight chin with no sagging and a thinner face. There was very little pain. I was out for dinner with friends after 10 days. It's causing severe pain too.I really like the implant but I do not like the one side protruding through my skin...it's a not on that side and you can feel the entire implant and see the outline where it has shifted...it's hard to show it in a picture from... more
My original chin implant was placed too high and it was too big for my face (wings were unnecessary). The doc agreed to fix it. Instead of putting a new smaller implant where we discussed, during the operation the doc decided to re-use the old implant w/o wings.(Can he do that?!) He now placed it too low, contrary to our discussion. The lower part of my face looks long and flat, w/ projection... more
