OK so I've kind of accepted that I'll have big lips for the rest of my life. It's something I was teased about growing up and I guess that's where my insecurities on the issue began. I don't really want a lip "reduction" I just want my bottom lip to not hang so much; it's nearly touching my chin. Im too afraid to drastically change the size of my lips b/c of the unexpected outcome, so I've settled for this slight change. Would this procedure be considered a lip reduction or augmentation. thanks
I read your concerns and reviewed your photos:
In my opinion, you have attractive, full lips. But if you want a subtle reduction, you may consider lip reduction surgery for your lower lip, or both of your lips.
In my practice, lip reduction is performed by removing a strip of mucous membrane from the portion of your lips that resides inside your mouth. This may result in a conservative, smaller appearance, and the scars will be inside your mouth. Occasionally, these scars can feel firm which is a negative you should consider before proceeding.
All the best.

I am a 23 year old female who is interested in getting my lips done. I feel like i have a great lip shape when I apply pressure to my upper lip. (You can see in the pictures below what I am talking about) I feel its a shame that all that shape is actually covered up! I think botox may make me have duck lips.. would you suggest a lip lift? and how much would it be to fix this? I have also noticed it makes my nose look kind of large when I do this? Suggestions? Thanks !

In my practice, I prefer to use Silikon-1000, an off-label filler for permanent lip augmentation. You would likely require several treatments to obtain your desired result.
If you decide you want permanent lip augmentation, you should consult a dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon experienced with the serial puncture, microdroplet technique for administering liquid injectable silicone. When performed properly, Silikon-1000 may result in smooth, natural-looking, larger lips. In my practice, patient satisfaction is very high, and problems like bumps are infrequent (<1%)
I've attached a link to an interview I did for RealSelf regarding silicone lip injections.
Hope this helps.

I have thin lips and I don't like the shape. Will Restylane solve the problem or do I need to get an implant? Do lip implants and fillers have the same effect?
Silikon-1000 is a permanent, off-label filler that may work particularly well for smooth, natural, permanent lip augmentation. Several treatments are typically necessary for complete correction, and treatment intervals are monthly or longer.
