2 weeks ago i hand chin implant 9mm with wings , i had a receeding chin from the lateral side view bt i loved my face from the front , now i feel like my face is way too long and specially the lower part of my face , my smile too is restricted and my lower lip covers my lower teeth this bothers me i used to love my smile :( , should i wait for 3 months or i have too replace it with a smaller one , i had nose job 6 months before the chin btw
I read your concerns and reviewed your photos:
Aesthetically, I like your result. Your profile and front view have attractive improvement, in my opinion. You may not want to rush into a smaller size just yet.
I cannot comment on the functional issues with your smile, but these may improve with time.
All the best from NJ.

I'm female and 9 months ago I had a silicone chin implant with wings put in at the suggestion of my surgeon. I only wanted added projection, I liked my face shape. But the implant has completely changed my face shape to look like a blob from front! I'm unhappy with it, and would like a smaller, more feminine one to try and get my face shape back. How easy is this? Does it require general anesthesia and what is the healing time?
Sorry you're not happy with your implant. Replacement with a smaller implant is feasible, or if you want to get the implant out and live without one, this could be performed with local anesthetic and minimal downtime or inconvenience.
Dr. Eppley's response is thoughtful, and may be the best option for you to consider and discuss with your surgeon.
I almost exclusively use "extended anatomical" implants, and when placed properly, these have been well received by my patients. The rationale for placing extended implants, as opposed to smaller implants, is to allow a smooth transition from your chin to your jowls. There is not a lot of volume by the "wings" of the implant, so I'm not sure why your implant caused such a dramatic change in the shape of your face.
You may want to repost your question with before and after photos.
Hope this helps.

I am getting revision rhinoplasty to fix a bad job caused my septum to totally collapse. Also the original work made it way to feminine. I know it's not easy to just imagine, but the nose is just going to be more of a right triangle as a opposed to the slide it is now. When I look at my profile i notice that harmony between my chin and nose is minimal, and I fear that after surgery the chin will look even smaller. Would it make sense to get a chin implant?
Your beard, and the limited quality of your photos makes it difficult to advise you. Your chin is not terribly weak, or it would be obvious. So it may be best for you to consult with your surgeon for definitive advice. In my practice, computer-imaging is helpful for visualizing your result after Chin Implant Surgery.
Good luck with your procedure.
