Juvederm is a soft-tissue filler made from hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occuring sugar molecule. It is commonly used to contour the face by replacing volume into wrinkle or folds that occur as we lose volume in our face with age. The more common areas are from the corner of the nostrils to the corner of the mouth (parenthesis lines), from the corner of the mouth down (marionette lines) as well as in and around the lips.
