It's been 5 days since my Juvederm injections. There was not much bruising afterwards, however on the 3rd day, the area next to my nose, around the smile line, became very bruised. The vein looks reddish and the area around it is purplish blue. How do I minimize this faster? Warm compresses or massage? Why did it show up on the 3rd day?
I place patients with increased risk of bruising on Arnika pellets and Bromalein. If the bruising is delayed it may still help.
Important is to avoid further discolorations with sun exposure. Use sunscreen SPF 35 on the bruised areas.
For future treatments avoid any blood thinnening products including herbal medications and start the Arnica 3 days prior to the treatment.
From what i can tell juvederm is maybe better than restylane because it lasts longer. Is this true? Are there other things i should take in to account before choosing juvederm or restylane?
My patients prefer Juvederm for lip augementation. It provides more natural looking fullness in the body of the lip and last longer.
Restylane elevates nicely perioral lines, but for volume enhancement, it lasts only up to 2 months.
