Should I Avoid Second Hand Smoke in a Casino 5 Days Before Breast Lift?
I am having a bilateral mastopexy in 5 days. I would like to go out tomorrow night with my husband (possibly to a casino) and there will be smoking. Should I not go because of the second hand smoke? I am not smoking but I am worried about being around it before my surgery. Thank you so much.
A: Smoking and surgeryEven second hand smoke can hurt your result and result in significant complications as noted as the other physicians that answered.
I also like to point out that even the nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and the like can hurt your result. To minimize complication risk, minimize your exposure to any form of nicotine.
I hope this helps, good luck!
Do You Recommend a Lift Or Can I Do With Only Implants? (photo)
Full C want DD - would I need a lift too or would the implant correct the sagging? I also want them closer together, as of now my nipples kind of look AROUND you, hah.
A: Who needs a lift?Lifts help to lift up breast tissue. Implants make breasts larger. Many ladies try to avoid lifts due to the scars, the recovery, and additional expense however often this is a big mistake. While it is impossible to do a consult over the internet without an exam, from the photo you shared it appears that you DEFINITELY need a lift. Most ladies would be unhappy with bigger droopy breasts and that is what is likely going to happen if you just get implants. I shared a link below discussing the differences between lifts and implants alone. Good luck!
Im 28 Yr Old Woman Who Has a Low C Section Would I Be Able to Get a TT In the Same Place? (photo)
195 lbs, stretch marks and lots of saggy skin
A: Tummy tucks often remove c-section scarsWhile it is impossible to say if an abdominoplasty is the right procedure for you based on the limited photograph and without an exam, I usually remove caesarian section scars with my tummy tucks. Many women have a little shelf of skin that hangs over the c-section scar despite how much diet and exercise they may do. The abdominoplasty scar is typically much longer than a c-section scar and based on the photograph the incision would likely be much longer than what you currently have however it is impossible to do a consultation via the internet so I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to get a full examination, discuss your goals, discuss potential risks and benefits of surgery, and get more information. Good luck!
