Is It Possible to Remove Old Tattoo so That I Can Replace with New Tatto in Same Location?
I want to laser off my tattooed half sleeve because I'm not satisfied with the work ... but I want to get a whole new sleeve on top of the same area where I want the old tattoos removed ... is this possible ? Or is it dangerous and bad for the skin ?
A: Removing tattoos and replacing
One can remove tattoos and replace with another tattoo. However this process can take between one half a year to a full year. It also depends on the colors of the original tattoo if they are amenable for removal. It also depends onthe colors you have in the new tattoo . For example if the new tattoo utilizes lighter colors, some remnants of the previous tattoo may show through. It also depends on the number of treatments, the skill and aggressiveness of the Dermatologic lasr surgeon, which laser devices are being used, the skin type of the patient, and other factors. I would strongly suggest an in-depth consultation. I would also think very carefully about any new tattoo as you may consider removing that one also at a future date.
Laser Tattoo Removal on the Neck for African American?
Would you recommend an African American to get laser treatment for a Tattoo removal on the neck?
A: Tattoos can be removed from African Americans with Lasers
Tattoos can be removed from African Americans with Lasers. However an in depth consultation is required so that you fully understand the risks and benefits of the treatment. It is also important to understand the number of treatments required.
Hypo pigmentation is a risk of the treatment even with the 'forgiving' 1064 NdYag laser. I have also utilized the Ruby laser with success- although theoretically it should have more side effects .
How Soon After You Have a Tattoo Done Can You Get It Lasered off
My tattoo is under my left ear and down my neck it is a tribal cross 3inches long by a inch and a half about the size of a credit card I wish now not had it done. It is all black and i have a really pale skin tone.
A: Lasers for Tattoos can start immediately
There is no reason to wait to begin treatment for your tattoo. You should realize
That it will require multiple sessions. It will require ,in general , less treatments if a) it was implanted by a non professional b) if it is pure black- rather than an exotic color c) the lines
Are thinner - as well as other factors. All tattoos fade slowly over time. Good luck!
