Does a Body Lift Mean You Will Be Trimming Excess Skin off my Body?

What kind of sensation should I expect during recovery? Are some areas for likely to feel numb or tingly compared to other areas?

A: Excess Skin and Body Lift

A body lift removes excess fat and skin which often result from significant weight loss.  You will likely experience changes in sensation to the areas involved.  These are usuallly transient, but they may take a long time to return to normal.  In rare cases, the loss of sensation to these areas can be permanent.

Okay to Lose Weight After Lower Body Lift?

33y/o Female, 23BMI, Lost 165lb, Want LBL. Lose 10lb After Lift Okay? Not Skin Fr LBL, WL. I had duodenal switch weight loss surgery. I'm still slowly losing weight due to activity level. Bariatric dr estimated likely lose another 20lb between months 18 - 24 bariatric procedure post-op; however, had a significant AC Joint injury so can't exercise much right now, thus stopped losing weight & have maintained for last 6 wks at 23 BMI post-op mo. 19. Given injury healing time, I guess I will lose another 10 - 15lb instead. Opinions on LBL at post-op mo. 22? OK if lose 10lb after LBL?

A: lower body lift

It is always best to reach your ideal weight although a 10 lb weight loss is not significant. you will loose some weight with the lower body lift. Good luck

Will I Need More Than a Tummy Tuck?

I am a 49 year old male, who has lost 245 LBS, I have seen four doctors, two think I could get by with a tummy tuck, one thinks a lower body lift, the other a tummy tuck with a horizontal cut. I have had three past surgeries for hernia repair, only one doctor said he would like to see reports from those surgeries. I like him and the one who would do a lower body lift and tummy tuck, he is also much cheaper, will have chest done as well, here is my photo any advise would be nice.

A: lower body lift

It really is difficult to determine without looking at your back and buttocks. If there is adequate tighness posteriorly than an tummy tuck or fleur de lis abdominoplasty may be good.
