Considering Getting Tummy Tuck at Post-Grad Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Program in NYC, Is this the Right Route?

I am a 50yr old female considering a Tummy Tuck after 2 c-sections in my 20's my skin below my belly button is sagging. I am in fairly good health,(not on current meds except vitamins) In order not to be in debt at my age, I am considering doing my surgery at a post gradudate cosmetic surgery fellowship pgrm in NYC because it's affordable. However,I am not really sure if this is the route to go. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

A: Who to use for a tommy tuck in New Jersey or New york?

I am assuming that the fellowship program is a legitimate program that follows a approved plastic surgery residency program. I that's the case then you know that at the fellows are have completed their plastic surgery residency and are board eligible in plastic surgery. You also know that the fellows are trained plastic surgeons but not experienced. I think it all depends on the talent of the individual fellows. There are surgeon s who no matter how much training they get they will never be great. This is a matter of talent. Not every person who goes and completes an art school becomes a great artist. I assume that this arrangement is a lot less expensive or may be you are not even paying the surgical fees, in which case it might be a compromise. Be careful and ask questions, so that you can at least get a good feeling that the fellow is good.

What Determines How Much a Facelift is?

A: What determines the cost of a face lift in New Jersey?

The fees for a properly performed face lift will vary depending on the plastic surgeon's experience, results, and the demand for his or her work. One has to make sure that the fees have not been artificially elevated because of excess surgeon's overhead which is really not the patient's responsibility. The office rent in New York city may be higher therefore the fees might reflect that. In my practice the fees are determined by the amount of work that needs to be done and to a certain extent, what the patient wants done. The extent of work determines how long the surgery will take and the longer the surgery the more it costs. In some cases I may refuse to do certain operation if the patient is unwilling to follow my recommendation. A good example is a patient who sees me for an upper blepharoplasty, who needs a brow lift to get the optimal result. In this case I will not do the lesser procedure by itself because I know that without a brow lift the results will not be good, but most of the time I will do what the patient wants. We usually discuss surgical options as well as non surgical procedures and the pros and cons of each. An agreement is reached with the patient which considers his or her budget.

Can a Tummy Tuck Repair an OLD Wilms Tumor Scar? It is 38 Years Old and Anchored. Dr. Says It Will Be Complicated. (photo)

I had a wilms tumor at 4 months old and have always lived with the scar. I now would like a mommy makeover but afraid there will be complications with this old butchered scar!! It is probably attached and anchored to everythig in my body by now!! PLEASE HELP!! I had one consultation today and they said it would be VERY complicated! We can send a man to the moon...this has got to be a somewhat normal process so I can have a normal stomach by 40!!

A: Can I get a tummy tuck with big upper abdominal scat? I wish we could see your entire abdomen instead of a close up picture. From what I see you can not have the traditional tummy tuck. Your scar is indented which means your shin is attached to the muscle layer. The scan can be corrected By a scar revision. At the Sam time a complete liposuction of your abdomen could be done without undermining and if necessary excess skin could be removed above the pubic area. This should give you a result similar to a tummy tuck but unfortunately you would still have a visible scar on your upper abdomen. The scar revision should get read of the indentation and make that scar a lot better.
