Difference Between Mini Tummy Tuck and Liposculpture?

my trouble is my pouch on my tummy and my love handles. secondary- are my jiggly arms. I work out every other day and follow a healthy diet. 5ft 5 tall, approx 138 lbs, age, 52.

A: Difference Between Mini Tummy Tuck and Liposculpture?

Mini Tummy tuck is one step above liposuction because it involves liposuction of the abdomen and skin resection above the pubis. If the laxity of the skin is mainly bellow the belly bottom, this is a great procedure. If the laxity is above the belly bottom, full tummy tuck is the way to go. You have a BMI of 23, therefore you are not overweight. If your skin is in good condition you could just get liposuction. It really depends on the degree of abdominal laxity and where the laxity is.

Mini Tummy Tuck w/ No Drains

I'm planning on having a mini tuck and my PS explained that he doesnt use drains. He wants me to visit him once a week for drainage. Is this common??

A: drains after mini tummy tucks.

Some  PS do not use drains after mini tummy  tucks.   It is not that common to have to drain fluid after this procedure.  It can be done simply in the office by aspirating the area with a needle.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Mini Tuck?

I hate the pouch that my hysterectomy left - the scar is not so bad. With age and weight up and down (though never a heavy person) I have loose skin as well. Would I be a good candidate for a mini? Would what results I get would it really be worth it? What other options would I have? I am so very self-consious and embarrassed with the way I look.

A: Mini or standard abdominoplasty?

The mini tuck with full abdominal liposuction could give you acceptable results, but you may still have some excess skin laxity above your belly bottom. The full abdominoplasty combined with liposuction could correct the laxity of your abdominal muscles, the excess skin and the excess fat. This would be my first choice.
