Can I Get my Back Fat Lipo'ed at the Same Time As Tummy Tuck?

I hate my back fat. I tried taking a photo but as soon as I raise my arm to take picture , the roll of fat leaves .

A: Back lipo with tummy tuck

I generally reccommend that the back have liposuction at the same time as the tummy tuck.  This liposuction can have a profound effect on the final appearance of the abdomen after Tummy Tuck. Your surgeon will decide if this is something that is an option for you.

Should I get a full tummy tuck and lipo to the back and thighs? What's best for me?

Should I get a full tummy tuck and lipo to the back and thighs? How much does this cost in my area? Albany, NY

A: Tummy tuck and lipo What's best?

Thank you for the photos.  They are helpful. There are several issues which need to be addressed before your questions can be answered.  Do you have childeren?  Are you planning on having (more) children? Is your weight stable?  Based on the photos, it appears as if you would benefit from lipo of the back/hip.  If you are planning on having children I would suggest that you postpone a tummy tuck and consider lipo of the abdomen. It is difficult to tell without an examination if you would benefit more from a tummy tuck or from lipo of the abdomen. Good Luck.

Menstrual Period During Liposuction

I am a bit nervous, I will have lipo and fat transfer to my buttock, but I will get my period tomorrow or the day after that, does that mean I will have a higher risk or dieing or something worst? please help!

A: Very common scenario

It seems to be very commen that women develop the onset of their menstrual cycle in the i mmediate time prior to or even on the day of surgery.  No one knows for sure why this is the case, but it may have something to do with the normal enhanced level of anxiety which surrounds having surgery.  Having surgery while someone has their cycle may predipose to more bleeding, and in the case of liposuction, possibel prolonged bruising or swelling afterwards.  It should not, however be cause for serious alarm nor to cancel the case.  Good luck!
