I am a full 36D cup breast size and am going for a breast reduction. My surgeon has to take off 350g per breast so my insurance will cover it. I have suffered from very persistent neck and upper back pain for years. I am 21 years old I am 5' tall and weigh 135 pounds. What cup size could I expect to be?
I know it's probably too early to be concerned but I'm worried about my right nipple. The left one seems to be healing fine but my right areola is not a round shape like my left and it's darker plus the nipple seems to be hidden. What is your opinion? I have an appointment with my plastic surgeon in exactly one week. This is my second day after surgery.

It is unfortunate that insurance companies dictate coverage on the amount of tissue removed and not on the symptoms which are present. Generally patients are reduced to a C cup after surgery, but there is quite a bit of variation. A 350 gram reduction will most likely achieve a C/D cup on you. You should discuss your goals with your surgeon. Some women want to be as small as possible, others want to remain large and full figured so as to remain well proportioned. good luck.
