Don't Want to Increase Size, But Want to Gain Fullness During Breast Lift, Do I Need Implants as Well? (photo)

I am 33 years old and done having children. I am considering having a breast lift done but am concerned with how they will turn out after surgery. Ideally I would like them to be lifted and rounder. I am currently a size 32D-DD and dont feel like I want to add more sizewise, but I worry that if I do not add an implant that I will be left with flat looking breasts. I would like to not have the T shapped/lollipop scar, is that an option for me? Will I need an implant?

A: Would like to gain fullness while getting a lift. Do I need an implant? You breast are too large for just a lift. If you just get a breast lift, it would look a lot better, but because of the weight they will droop again. You would definitely need a reduction and a lift to have a more stable result. Some time I would do a reduction, lift and an implant to give upper pole fullness. The so called plus minus concept.

Would an Uplift Be Suitable For My Sagging Breasts Post-Pregnancy? (photo)

Hi, I had my implants fitted 4 years ago,and soon after I became pregnant, I had no idea that mother nature would take effect, and I would become very broody! However I was lucky enough to produce a beautiful healthy boy,but Im left with these sagging breasts, I was very ill, so wasnt able to hold my son for a couple of weeks after, so I couldnt breast feed.Is it an uplift I would need? Thanks in advance

A: Breast lift for sure

You would indeed greatly benefit from a breast lift!  You may certainly keep your implants if you are pleased with your overall volume.  A breat lift simply reorients the soft tissues providing a lifted, rounder, fuller appearance while moving the nipple back up to its proper position on the breast.  One thing you must consider, however, is that a breast lift will entail additioonal scars from what you currently have.  Typically these scars are located around the areola as well as a vertical extension to the base of your breast ("lollipop" pattern).  While the incisions usually heal beautifully and are typically not very obvious, they are permanent scars nontheless.  Good luck and rememebr to make sure that you surgeon is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

What Options do I Have for a Breast Lift after Breast Feeding? (photo)

I am 135lb, age 28, 5'3". I am considering a breast lift. I am Currently a 34D, and with a bra on...the girls look great. Nude, not so much. I feel gross. I had my son 10 years ago, and nursed him. I will not be having any more children. I am in the process of losing the last of the weight to get to a more healthy place...but my breasts have suffered tremendously. I do not want them any bigger, or smaller. They are the perfect size for my body shape (wide hips and curvy posterior). Any thoughts or opinions?

A: Type of Breast Lift

The pictures are very helpful.  They demonstrate breast ptosis(droop) which is common after nursing and asymmetry(which is also common).  The best option for you is a vertical or "lollypop" lift.  This procedure can be performed in such a way as to utilize the breast tissue in the lower part of the breast to augment the upper pole.  This tissue acts like an implant to provide fullness and an internal lift where you want it most.  There are incisions around the nipple and vertically from the nipple to the crease.  If you want alot of fullness above, you may need to add a small implant. A small amount of tissue would need to be removed from thr right to even out the 2 sides. Other options involve  an anchor shaped  incision which does not carry any benefit. Your weight should be stable  before you undergo surgery as additional weight loss may affect the size and appearence of the breast and ultimately the result of the surgery.  Good luck.
