Is It Worth Getting Smart Lipo?

I am 28 years old, I don't have children. I really want to get rid of stubborn fat around my waist. I want to get rid of this, its given me self esteem issues. But I don't know if it would be a good idea, should I wait after I have children?

A: Is lipo a good idea?

Hi there.  It's hard to answer your question without seeing you in person but it looks like liposuction may be an option.  You can have children after tummy tuck without any issues, but there's a good chance you would need a revision.  It really depends on your goals an expectations.  Liposuction is great for people who are close to their ideal body weight and just want to treat focused areas of fatty deposits for contouring.  Tummy tuck does this as well as remove excess skin.  I suggest you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area--nothing beats a physical exam!  Good luck!

Could I Still Have Swelling 2.5 Weeks After Smart Lipo?

I had smart lipo on my upper abs Feb.25th My ribs and belly button are still real tender, and as the day goes on, I seem to swell. I don't feel hard spots, so I didn't know if this was pretty much my final result...???

A: Swelling after lipo is normal All forms of liposuction, including Smartlipo, leave patients with postoperative swelling. The swelling is usually at it's greatest 2-3 days after the procedure but can last up to 8-12 weeks depending on the area treated and the amount of fatty tissue removed. So, at 2.5 weeks all the symptoms you describe are well within the norm.

308lb, 5'11" Male - Is Smart Lipo a Good Start to Reduce Fat?

I'm a 308 Lb Male 5" 11 is Smart Lipo a Good Start to Reduce and Build Confidence

A: Liposuction for weight loss Hi Pearland- The short answer is no. Liposuction (and specifically Smartlipo) is used for body contouring not weight loss. When there is a specific body part that is out of proportion to the rest of your figure then liposuction is a good option. The best liposuction candidates are those who are at their ideal body weight or just above their ideal body weight. Weight loss patients who look to liposuction to solve their weight problems are rarely satisfied. Nothing beats losing weight the old fashion way!
