What is a Botox Unit?

What is a unit? How many units are in a Botox bottle?

A: 50 or 100 units depending on the bottle

Botox made by Allergan comes in 50 unit and 100 unit bottles. A unit is the way me measure the amount of Botox given. Some doctors charge patients by the unit and some doctors charge by the area. All doctors should keep an accurate record of how many units of Botox they are injecting into each muscle group. This provides detailed information to reproduce great results give more or less at the next injection.

Do You Suggest Botox for Chin Dimpling Both Sides Underneath Mouth?

Im 44 and have aging skin doctor suggested co2 laser and like 6 areas botox including mouth and chin area not fond of that i want to be able to smile. My main concern is the dimpling under my mouth.

A: botox is often used for dimpling of the chin

I would need to see you to answer your question appropriately. Botox works by paralyzing muscle. When placed correctly, in the right muscle groups it should not and will not interfere with smiling. When placed into the chin muscle, called the mentalis muscle, it helps eliminate the puckering and dimpling people sometimes have.

Botox Injections to Make Earlobes Bigger?

My ears are getting a little thinner. I was wondering if the effects of Botox will help that out?

A: not botox but a filler

Botox paralyzed muscle so that won't work, but fillers work great for plumping the earlobes and I do it a lot.  Fillers one can use are Perlane, or Juvederm or Radiesse.  People love it.
