What Alternatives to Restylane Do You Recommend for Lips?

Which filler is the least painful and longest lasting for lips?

A: Long lasting filler for fuller lips...

Juvederm Ultra XC is a great filler to use for the lips.  In general it lasts for about 6-9 months.  Now that the manufacturer has added lidocaine to the filler, the procedure is very easy and results in only little discomfort.  Another alternative that gives permanent results would be the use of medical grade silicone.  A microinjection technique is used to avoid bumps and the silicone is built up over a series of injections to create a permanent result.  Be sure to seek out a practitioner who is highly experienced in injection techniques before having the procedure done.

Can Restylane Be Used on Nasal Base Area?

Could Restylane be used immediately underneath one nostril to correct (or test the correction of) an asymmetry?

A: Restylane on nasal base area

Restylane is primarily used as a temporary cutaneous filler for rhytids and depressions such as those found in the nasolabial and perioral regions. It can be used on the nasal base area; however, I question the rationale. If the problem is an acute nasolabial angle, there are better approaches and substances that may be employed.

Best Treatment for Chin Dimpling and Marionette Lines?

My chin (and hands but that's another story) is what somewhat gives my age away. What is the best treatment? Restylane, Juvederm, Botox/Dysport or a combination?  Restylane SubQ or Perlane?

I live in Melbourne, AU and it's expensive so I don't want to needlessly spend money, not to mention I don't want to have to go through bruising more than once.

Could you let me know how long such injections are expected to last? I am not overweight and do not have any sagging skin.

A: Botox is great for chin dimpling

I have used Botox for chin dimpling for years and it is extremely easy and usually provides great results. For the marionette lines, you can use a multitude of fillers, and usually the goal is to find the one that works best and lasts the longest for you. I prefer Juvederm or Radiesse, but several others may possibly do the job as well. Good luck.
