Should I Get a Breast Reduction? (photo)

I am unsure if I should get a breast reduction. I have been to one plastic surgeon but he made me feel very uncomfortable. He said it would be good, as well as my GP but I want a second opinion from a certified doctor. Enclosed are a few pictures. Please give me your opinion. I am currently 130 pounds 5'4" and a 32J

A: Breast Reduction

There are two main reasons to get a breast reduction. The first would be to help alleviate back and shoulder pain. The second would be if you do not like the appearance of your breast and you feel that are too large for your frame. There are trade-offs with any plastic surgery procedure and the most common concern is the scars. You will need to weight the risks and benefits and determine what is best for you. A board certified Plastic Surgeon who frequently performs this procedure can help you to determine what is best for you.

I'm 17 and I Want a Breast Reduction.

I am a small person, I am about 5'1 and I feel that my breasts are extremely out of proportion to my body, and it makes me uncomfortable and upset with myself. Not only that, but they cause my to arch my back, and I feel I get lower back and shoulder pains from it. In my area (Ontario, Canada) I can get the surgery free if I have pains. What is the likely hood I can get insurance to pay for it, and how should I go about confronting my parents about this? Also, should I wait until I am older?

A: Breast reduction I can not tell you what the requirements are under the Canadian health system. Age 17 is reasonable for a breast reduction in someone with large breast and back pain.
