Safest Size Implant to Avoid Sagging Post Mastectomy?

I'm getting a prophylactic mastectomy and I was wondering what size implant(maximum number of cc's)you'd recommend for reducing the risk of potential problems and especially future sagging.

A: Breast reconstruction There really is not a size to prevent sagging after mastectomy. The muscle pocket will usually prevent significant sagging and it is important to pick the best size implant for you frame

Unhappy With Look OF Breast Reconstruction- Options? I Also Have Fibromyalgia

7 years post op from bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction with McGhan 163 saline implants at 530 ccs ea. gained 25 lbs, look pretty flat don't fill bras front to back, too far apart, dip in one, one sits higher, nipples faded and flattened. Originally felt that projection was too little vs the base diameter which seemed too large. What are my options? Is revision covered by insurance? I'm very unhappy but don't want to seem ungrateful. I am 5'3 weigh 190 lbs and have fibromyalgia too.

A: breast reconstruction

There are a lot of options for you. The style of implant can be changed, fat grafting can per performed to fill in some areas of depression and the nipple reconstruction and be redone as well as additional tatooing.

Mastectomy 15 years ago with a tram flap reconstruction. Now, Cancer in Other Breast.

I had a mastectomy 15 years ago on the left breast and had reconstruction with a tram flap the same day. Now i have been diagnosed with breast cancer on the right side. Will the insurance allow me to have the left breast that had the tram removed or reduced

A: Breast reconstruction The a federal laws that require all surgery for breast reconstruction to be covered. There are a number of options available to you. Reconstruction of the right breast with either a tissue expander and then an implant or the use of a latissimus with implant are both possible. You need to discuss you goals with you surgeon to determine a best treatment plan.
