What Is the Healing Process Like for Butt Implants?

hi everyone , im thinking about getting a butt implant im very thin and would like a bigger butt, what im most scared is that im gay and I'm wondering if being intimate will affect my butt implants? i can imagine many gay people get them but i would rather ask doctors like you guys this question, thank you!

A: Intimacy after butt implants...

After having buttock implants, soreness can occur for up to 2 weeks depending on  the specific procedure and the individual.  Any discomfort can be controlled with pain medication which will be prescribed to each patient before the date of surgery.  Patients are usually able to return to work within 10 - 14 days.  Although the implants themselves will not be affected, patients must wait at least 4 weeks post sugery or until they no longer have any tenderness before being intimate.  If you have any questions or concerns it is strongly recommended to discuss them with your surgeon.

Can I Undergo a Rhinoplasty at 16?

Can I Undergo a Rhinoplasty at 16?

A: Rhinoplasty at 16...

Having a Rhinoplasty at any age is an important decision and requires a good deal of research and thought.  When a patient is 16, that thought process must especially be carried out so the procedure is not performed on a whim.  However, a mature, well thought out 16 year is an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty.  It is important to know that you will need a parent or guardian to sign the consent, so they will have full knowledge about the procedure.  Typically, females tend to grow at a faster rate then males do, so they can have rhinoplasty a little sooner, around 15 and a half years old, with males about one year later.  Waiting until the proper age will insure that the surgery does not interfere with the growth of the nose. Be sure to have a consultation with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

If Mid 30s is too Young for Midface Lift, then When is Good Time?

I am in my mid 30s and slender. I am noticing aging in my lips and lower face that is very upsetting to me. I have dimples (2-3 each side) in my lower face. I also have some acne&scarring. Family history of jowls. Fat transfer to my cheeks and fillers to folds have not helped issues. Also, fat transfer surgeon put fat in one of my dimples and now I have an annoying fat pocket. My new MD has recommended fillers and cortisol, but says its too soon for mid lift. I am so bothered by this. Options?

A: Mini facelift in your thirties...

Having a mini facelift in your thirties is a posibility if you are a candiate for the procedure.  Age is not a criteria for this procedure, but instead whether or not to do it depends on a person's anatomy.  It is particular helpful for a person with a droopy lower face, and the mini facelift can be done under local anesthesia.  For your lips, fillers like Juvederm or silicone can be used to reverse the aging effects.  Acne scarring is difficult to deal with, but the scarring can be excised during the same procedure and sutured  to be made less visible, or Fraxel laser can be performed.  It is OK to have these procedures in your thirties, but just keep in mind to keep things looking natural.  Consult your board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon to discuss your best options.
