A: Choosing between various fillers...

First and foremost you want to make sure you choose a qualified practitioner to do the injecting.  During the consultation, discuss the different areas you are looking to improve.  Then the injector can discuss different options.  Juvederm and Restylane are essentially the same, but I feel Juvederm lasts a little longer.  Radiesse, Sculptra, or fat injection can be used for deeper hollows, can last longer, and are little more expensive.  Just make sure you are on the same page with the injector before undergoing anything.

A: Neurological symptoms after Juvederm...

Juvederm injections would be highly unlikely to result in neurological symptoms.  The substance is totally natural and doesn't affect the nerves.  There are possible side effects that can occur such as bruising, and even skin problems such as skin loss in an extreme situation, but not what you are describing.  Seeing an additional physician is mandatory, and further testing will be required so a diagnosis can be indentified.  Make an appointent immediately to continue your evaluation, but these symptoms would not due to the Juvederm.

Is Juvederm a Good Option for Forehead Wrinkles?

I am considering juvederm for my forehard to get rid of my wrinkles in my forehead. Do you recommend this product for my forehead, and if not then what do you suggest. How long will the treatment last in my forehead? What is the average cost? Will losing 50 pounds make a difference with the injections? How often will I need to get injections in my forehead? Thank you. 50 year old - not ready to look it.

A: Juvederm for forehead wrinkles...

When a patient has wrinkles on their forehead, Juvederm is not the best option.  Juvederm is a filler used for the nasolabial folds and can also make the lips fuller.  For forehead wrinkles, Botox would work best. It is a fluid that is injected into your forehead muscle to temporally weaken it and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  Botox is also used in the glabella muscle which is between the eyes, as well as around your eyes into your crows feet to diminish those wrinkles.  Please make an appointment with your plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
