Microliposuction for Lower Cheeks

Is it advisable in the area I've circled? My cheeks are very full/assymetric. In my family this trait persists for both my parents, who are well into their 50s. In cases like this, would it still be inadvisable to remove the lower cheek fat?

A: direct excision

Without an exam, it is hard to say for sure. However, there is an area fat in the cheeks that can be contoured or reduced. In my experience, direct excision is a better technique for this than liposuction. My advice would be to locate a board certified plastic surgeon who performs buccal fat pad excision and schedule a consultation.

Swelling 1 Month After Lipo

Lipo One Month Ago on Flanks, Lower Abs and Outer Thighs Done. My Inner Thighs and Inner Knees Are Swollen. Normal? I month post lipo. Exercising regularly, yoga, tennis etc.

A: Normal to still have swelling

Any swelling that you have that you think may be abnormal should be evaluated by your surgeon. Having said that, depending on the volume removed and areas treated, in my experience it is very normal to still have swelling 1 month after liposuction. Of course the amount varies based on your level of activity and compliance with compression.

Achieving Ideal Weight with Liposuction and Tummy Tuck?

I am 5'10" right now and I weight 215 lbs. I am looking to have a Liposuction or Tummy tuck surgery will doing this help me get to the ideal weight off 180-190 lbs?

I know it is better to exercise but I am asking If I can do it at this weight and how many pounds can I get rid off. Thanks.

A: Plastic surgery will not help you lose weight

Weight loss should be achieved with diet and exercise before considering plastic surgery. Your results will be so much better if you have the surgery at a more "ideal" body weight. While the amount of skin and fat that can be removed is substantial, the amount of weight reduction with these procedures generally is not.
