Dr. Golpa is the best.
Awesome!!! No other adjectives nesscary!
Dr Golpa and his staff are very thorough and methodical. The procedure went well and no pain, but I did have some side effects from the anesthesia . It amazed me how quickly it all went.
Before the surgery, I tried asking what the teeth would look like. I wanted to tell Dr. what I wanted the teeth to look like. He threw up his hand and said, "They will be perfect - I am a perfectionist!" I did not even get to choose the color. He held to samples next to my mouth and picked "the one that goes with (my) skin tone. Major problems. Had to redo denture a month later. I still did not get a chance to tell Dr. what I wanted, as he already had the new denture set. I said that I would like them a little whiter, and he said that they can't be changed - this is what they are. He advertises that you will leave with the smile you have always wanted. I consider this false advertising! I never got a chance to consult with the Dr. except for the surgical aspect of the procedure. When I left the office (crying) I was not even given any written instructions for aftercare, or any other type of literature. I will definitely be bringing in a picture of what I want third time!
My procedure was Thursday 6/6/13. I had 23 very compromised teeth with seriously infected gums that were extracted. I ended up with some complex issues and nine hours of surgery. They ended up needing to put cadaver bone in my upper arch and an extra implant. Not much pain a little swelling and a lot of throbbing after the procedure. I was semi conscious through out the procedure. I went back in yesterday 6/7/2013 and had my new teeth put in. Dr. Golpa is definitely second to none with this procedure. Under my circumstances he made adjustments without hesitation to give me the best possible outcome with a less than normal situation. Because of my complex surgery I will not be biting an apple for six months. My only complaint is communication breakdowns between the front office and everything else. There were many lapses that took place. Dr. Golpa himself is wonderful , passionate and proficient.
I have had extensive dental work over the years. While I consider myself a pretty good patient I still had a level of anxiety with any procedure. At Dr. Golpa's office I felt immediately relaxed. The staff is friendly and confident. Dr. Golpa is passionate about his work and listens to the patient. I have a medical background and have worked with some truly fabulous surgeons. I have very high expectations. The standard of care at Dr. Golpa's office is first rate
My interaction with Dr. Golpa was minimal, and I was surprised by that. I never had a true consultation, and did not spend time with Dr. Golpa before the procedure. On several occasions, I called and asked about having a conversation with Dr. Golpa, and was assured that that would take place. It never did. So, the morning of my surgery, I asked Dr. Golpa, if this was the right procedure for me, and he rather abruptly answered: "This is the only option for you". Needless to say, that I was taken aback, and actually somewhat upset. I believe, that this happened, because communication is lacking, and to be fair, I think that it is a very busy practice, and sometimes, some people fall through the cracks. What I liked about Dr. Golpa, is that he does take part in choosing the teeth, color etc. and that he does give his opinion on what would be best for the patient. what I like least about Dr. Golpa, is what I perceive as his impatience, but I forgive him, because I credit one of his videos for my decision to stop smoking. Thank you Dr. Golpa. :) No one is perfect, but some of the staff is close to it. Brit. Not only the ultimate professional, but compassionate and kind. Amanda. Warm, responsive and aways willing to help. Carlos, just because he is everyone's friend. Dr. Golpa has great staff.
