I have heard about NSAID's affecting results. What would be the best OTC medication to take? Can I apply topical lidocaine before hand?
Vela treatments should not require pain medication. The treatment should feel warm and maybe a bit pinchy in thinner skinned areas, but it should not require pain medication. And you should not apply lidocaine prior to treatment - it will affect how the glide gel works and can interfere with the machine head - it's just not a good idea. If you want to take something, take Tylenol - but really, you should need nothing!
will velashape help upper arm fat and some looseness?
I have used the Velahape for years to treat arms; however, I would say the results have just been decent. I recently acquired a Venus Freeze machine and those results have been tremendously more successful and my patients who are undergoing arm treatments are happier with this treatment than they were with the Velashape. I'd try to find someone in your area with a Venus Freeze.
I regularly do hot yoga and sweat out tons doing cardio at the gym. Will this effect my results? None of the technitions have mentioned this or anything about drinking water which I do anyway since I sweat so much. What advise would you recommend? Thanks!
We encourage our patients to exercise and drink plenty of water while undergoing Vela treatments. There are no side effects to this, and in fact, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle will only increase your probability for good results.
